EG&G is a systems integrator, and we emphasize the systems approach to all our programs. This ensures cost-effective management focused on identifying and satisfying specific customer requirements.

Many functional components required for modern systems are available from commercial sources. However, no two customers have exactly the same requirements, so simply installing commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment is seldom sufficient to meet requirements. Our staff of experienced engineers, programmers, and technicians tailor and customize interfaces to provide integrated systems for each unique situation. Our vertically integrated organization has in-house resources ranging from PhDs to technicians and craftspeople.

For over 30 years, our principal business activity has been the design, development, testing and support of unique and specialized data acquisition systems and instrumentation. We have extensive technical and administrative experience working with domestic and foreign government agencies and corporations. We are skilled in the successful management and completion of large, complex domestic and international contract programs and have an excellent reputation for providing our customers with innovative, cost-effective solutions to their engineering problems.

EG&G houses a number of scientific laboratories, complete machine, sheet metal and alodining shops, optical bench, and electronic assembly and checkout laboratories. These capabilities enable us to perform rapid prototype fabrication and evaluation of hardware.
